The Concierge Solution

Concierge care is a concept that started in 1996 in Seattle with an office providing exclusive care to 50 families. For an additional charge these patients got better care simply by having more time with their physician. Concierge care patients have been proven to experience 65% fewer hospitalizations than those in the standard health system. Physicians in the standard system are expected to see 20-30 patients per day, averaging only nine minutes per patient. Physicians providing concierge care limit their patient pool so they see only eight patients a day on average, spending 45 minutes to an hour with each visit.

Concierge Health Center takes the concept a step further in eliminating third party insurance altogether. For a flat monthly membership fee that is typically the same cost or less than their current traditional plan patients get preferred care. There is no paperwork and, no question on coverage.

It's a win/win for physicians and patients. Doctors can get back to what they do best taking care of their patients. With more time they can not only cover the present ailment, but also be proactive in developing their patient's health. The patient's well-being is the priority.

The concept of concierge medicine is growing across the country. Currently concierge doctors serve almost a million patients nationwide and that number is expected to double every 12-18 months over the next three years. Patients are pleased with the service with patient renewal rates at one concierge chain reported to be 92%.
